Katy Virtual Tutoring
*ZEL Tutoring is a free, virtual tutoring service aimed at helping teens with their classes while schools undertake an unprecedented and unfamiliar education style. We are a group of upperclassmen from Katy ISD who have taken our fair share of AP classes and seek to help others around us in these trying times.
We offer help across a vast number of subjects with tutors that are the best in their class. Each student will be paired with a tutor who is catered towards their needs. Tutoring sessions will be held on Zoom. If you are a student interested in signing up, please visit our Student page for more information.
*Unfortunately, all of our tutors are currently adjusting to college life and academics and are currently unavailable for tutoring. Tutoring will resume after September 1.

Zara
Hi! My name is Zara Shipchandler, and I am currently a senior at Cinco Ranch High School. I am under the STEM endorsement and plan to major in computer science in college. I am an ambitious high school student who has taken many AP courses, and I am currently in the top 5 of my class. In school, I am an active member of the high school marching band; I play in the top band in my school and also serve as a flute section leader during marching season. I also love to tutor math in my school’s math tutoring club. For fun I enjoy doing charcoal art, playing outside with my dog, volunteering at the Ballard House, and spending time with family.
ERIKA
Hello! My name is Erika and I’m a senior at CRHS. My main interests are public policy and political science, but my course load has been and continues to be extremely History- and STEM-heavy. I am in the top 3% of my graduating class and have taken many AP science, math, and social studies classes. At school, I am the two-year Student Council President, a four-year Varsity Golf athlete, officer (President or VP) in a multitude of clubs, and the head of several campus- and district-wide projects and initiatives. Outside of school is where most of my activism and community work is focused, including being the co-founder of Katy4Justice, the chair of the Fort Bend County’s DA Youth Committee, the Legislation Lead in MFOL Houston, an intern for HILSC and MFV, and much more.
LISA
Hello! My name is Lisa, and I am a senior at Cinco Ranch High School under the STEM endorsement and planning to major in mechanical engineering in college. I am in the top 10 of my school and well-versed in STEM-related subjects. Outside of school, I am involved in the school’s math tutoring club and am an Officer for the local and state chapter of Future Business Leaders of America. I also love being active in my community, volunteering at places like Children’s Museum of Houston and The Brookwood Community. In my spare time, I like to read dystopian novels, jog around my neighborhood, and spend time with family and friends.
